junctioncolorwebnobg This year, we are going beyond books and reading and encouraging people to expand their horizons by attending programs. Join us at the Junction—IPPL Junction!—to learn something new, create from scratch, and share your knowledge with your neighbors.

Chef Mary Gail Bennett will teach you how to make wonderful easy appetizers to serve at your next party or to make when someone asks you to bring one to theirs!     Floral designer Bridget Bittman returns with a hands-on workshop to create a bountiful harvest design with fresh flowers, fruit, berries, and natural elements such as feathers, leaves, and dried pods. Participants will make and take home a colorful floral arrangement fit for a Thanksgiving dinner or hostess gift. Bring a floral/garden clipper or scissors and a small box to transport your design. $20 supply fee payable at in-person registration.

    Help Indian Prairie Library celebrate the National Day of Listening by interviewing a family member (father, mother, grandmother, family friend, etc.). Interviews last about 40 minutes. You do the talking while a trained volunteer operates the recording equipment. Walk out with a free CD of the interview while the library keeps a copy to preserve for future generations.

    Grandma can talk for a lot more than 40 minutes you say? No problem. We will be offering interview times throughout the year on various themes. This week's theme is "family." Feel free to come back again.
