The library offers a variety of programs for adults and young adults grades 7 and up. You may register online through the calendar, in person at the Ask Us Desk, or by calling 630/887-8760 ext. 239.

    The Darien Park District Garden Club and Indian Prairie present LaManda Joy, a board member of the American Community Gardening Association, Garden Writers Association, and the Culinary Historians of Chicago who will share via a slideshow her insight into Chicago's role in the World War Two Victory Garden movements and how the city is again in the national forefront in community food production.

    Dr. Michelle Paluch-Mishur presents this slide lecture which looks at late nineteenth century artists such as Cassatt, Tissot, Caillebotte, and Renoir and their relationship to exciting developments in the Parisian fashion industry. This theme relates to a special exhibition, "Impressionism, Fashion and Modernity," coming to Chicago's Art Institute this summer.
