Registration with an Indian Prairie Library card is required for most programs. You may register online through the calendar or call or visit the 2nd floor Ask Us Desk 630/887-8760 ext. 264.     For children 1-6 years old with an adult caregiver. Enjoy stories, songs, and activities in French! Presented by Language StarsĀ®.

    This spring we will be reading about the N.B.T.(Next Big Thing! Discuss books sure to inspire, like "Fortunately the Milk" by Neil Gaiman and "Zombie Baseball Beatdown" by Paolo Bacigalupi, particpate in fun activities, share snacks and more. Copies of the books are available at the Check Out Desk. (It's OK if you didn't quite finish the book, come anyway!)

    At FrISK, books collide with hands-on fun. This spring, we are exploring the ZOO in Your Backyard, with activities and books on birds, bugs, bats, bunnies and more.

  • When: Monday, May 12, 2014 - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
    Where: Meeting Room, 2nd Floor

    Join us for this new inter-generational book discussion and pen pal program, where children are paired up with a senior (55+) as reading and writing buddies. Participants will meet once a month to discuss a book, select a new book, and exchange letters about the book. Children can register online, in person, or by phone. Interested adults should contact Youth Services at ext. 263 for more information. Co-sponsored by the Darien Rotary.
