Teen Programs

Register at the Kids & Teens Ask Us Desk, call 630/887-8760 ext. 263 or register online. Teen programs are open to 7-12 grades unless otherwise noted.

Did you know the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meets every month to help plan and implement programs for our teens? they make recommendations for the books, movies and games we buy, and they make suggestions for making the library more "teen friendly." Upcoming Programs

  • When: Tuesday, April 22, 2014 - 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
    Where: Teen Lounge, 2nd Floor

    We'll be making cool projects in the Teen Lounge like our own buttons, cassette tape art, blackout poetry, and duct tape wallets. Feel free to join us if you want to "make" your Tuesdays more awesome.

  • When: Saturday, May 17, 2014 - 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM
    Where: Meeting Room, 2nd Floor

    This free, proctored practice test will help identify your strengths and weaknesses before the real thing. Kaplan will contact each student with analyzed test results. Remember to bring #2 sharpened pencils and an approved calculator. Space is limited.

  • When: Saturday, May 17, 2014 - 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM
    Where: Multipurpose Room, 2nd Floor

    The Teen Advisory Board(TAB)is made up of a group of area teens in 7–12th grades. TAB is an open forum lead by a TAB Coordinator. Board members earn community service hours while helping the library plan and implement programs for local teens, collection recommendations and discussing ways to make your library a better experience.
