TELL US YOUR STORIES

Veterans History Project

If you or someone you know is a U.S. veteran, then you may be able to help Indian Prairie Public Library collect and preserve war stories and experiences as a part of the Library of Congress Veterans History Project.

Since 2001, the library has been interviewing American veterans who served in conflicts from World War II to the present. The original recordings are sent to the American Folklife Center while a copy is kept at Indian Prairie Public Library and made available on the website.

If you are interested in more information, please contact Joe Popowitch at 630/887-8760 ext. 240.
